Bobbi Fulcher-Smith Bobbi was born in Los Angeles, California and trained at the prestigous Art Center College of Design in Pasadena until 1983. She spent the first fifteen years of her creative career in Los Angeles as a successful freelance Art Director, Graphic Designer and Production Manager, creating visual art and graphics for print advertising, direct response marketing and the entertainment industry.

After immigrating to England and setting up a studio in Salcombe in 1991, she began the second stage of her career as a painter of decorative landscapes and still lifes. Currently working with pastels and acrylics, Bobbi is mainly inspired by small atmospheric studio sets and the shimmering light and colour combinations found in local scenes. Her great love of the West Country's seductive beauty is most evident in her pastel drawings of verdant land and seascapes, untouched by man and dominated with large cloud-filled skies. As a talented colourist many of her drawings and paintings have a poetic, dream-like pallet, while others are luminous, sun-filled and provocative in their candid use of colour.

Her work has been exhibited in solo, group and open exhibitions in California and the UK. In England she has been represented by the Salcombe Art Loft, The Mayne Gallery - Kingsbridge, the John Davies Gallery - Stow on the Wold, The Ariel Centre - Totnes and in Cove's Quay Gallery - Salcombe.
